New Cadet Registration: We are still accepting new cadets on Wednesday Nights between 7 pm and 9 pm. Please make sure to have the correct documentation below, in order to register. Otherwise your Child cannot participate until completed correctly.
How To Join
All youths aged 12 to 18 years are welcome to join this youth-oriented program. (If you have not reached your 12th birthday, visit us once you do).
Please feel free to drop by and visit us if you would like to talk with our officers or cadets about this program and the opportunities it can offer you. 777 Neptune Squadron meets each Wednesday evening from 1815-2130hrs (6:15pm to 9:30pm) at Ecole des Pionniers de Maillardville, 1618 Patricia Avenue in Port Coquitlam.For more information about joining 777 Neptune Squadron, please have a look at the 2019-2020 Joining Instruction Booklet
Please have at least one of the original documents for proof of age, as well as an original document for proof of health insurance.
Proof of Age:
a valid Canadian passport;
a birth certificate issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal government agency;
any card, visa or permit (work, study, resident, etc.) (with photo) issued by the Canadian government which legally authorizes the person to reside in Canada for an extended period of time; or
any identification card (with or without photo) issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal government agency. No certificates of live birth please.
Proof of Health Insurance:
BC Care card (Preferred)
Territorial health insurance card
Private insurance (ie. Blue Cross) card.
Also, the following forms are required to be filled out by all youth wishing to join the Air Cadet Program:
CF1158 – Cadet Application Form. Please ensure that you read the first two pages before you fill out this form. Please complete this form and bring it with you when you register. (Please Print on Legal Size Paper).

Annual Assessment Fee
All activities of the Air Cadet Program (training, survival trips, fam flying) are funded both through the Department of National Defence (DND) and through the active fund raising efforts of the members of the Sponsoring Committee assisted by the Cadets.
In addition, the Air Cadet League of Canada, British Columbia Provincial Committee covers the cost of the maintenance and Insurance for 12 gliders and 7 tow planes, volunteer liability insurance through ACL of Canada, BCPC office and administration costs, legal services retained for the benefit of BCPC and Squadron Sponsoring Committees.The Squadron Sponsoring Committee is to fund raise to pay for administrative costs such as facility rentals, telephone, contents insurance, trophies and awards, additional costs to fund a band, drill team and other optional activities that are not covered by DND.
Throughout the year, parents are requested to help in fund-raising events (tag days, meat orders, etc.) to help maintain the high level of activities planned for the training year.In addition, each year parents are requested to pay a $225 Assessment Fee. The fee is $225 for the first Cadet from the family and $175 for each subsequent Cadets from the same family. From the Assessment Fee, $100 is paid directly to the British Columbia Provincial Committee, and the balance of the Fee is used to help offset the many operating costs (as identified above). Fees can be paid by cheque to “777 Neptune Squadron Sponsoring Committee” , cash or by credit card.
The Squadron Sponsoring Committee is completely operated by screened volunteers – from the Chairperson to each parent driver. There are many opportunities to help. Every family is expected to find a task where they can assist. It is a great way to meet other parents and to learn more about the Cadet Movement.Your son/daughter receives many advantages as a member of the Cadet program.
All uniforms are supplied by the Department of National Defence (DND). Cadets can have the opportunity to participate in the military marching band, precision drill team, effective speaking program (sponsored by the British Columbia Air Cadet League), range, biathlon,sports teams,ground school program,first aid, gliding, familiarization flying and weekend exercises. In addition, Cadets may attend various summer training courses and National scholarship courses at no or minimal cost to the parents. Cadets who are selected for summer training receive a “Training Bonus” of $60.00 per week while on course!
